Na Na Tahaa! Sent April 23, 2018

Well, finally getting transferred off of Tahaa! I have spent 7 months here and it is crazy how much I have grown to love all of the people here. I am really going to miss it. I have been so blessed to serve on both sides of this island and meet all of the amazing people here. It is literally at the point where I recognize the majority of people I pass on the street, love it!!!

I will be transferred to Tahiti, and I am pretty excited. I will be finishing the training of someone who came in with my son, so that will be great. Also, I am going to be in the same house as Gerrit Moore (Sorry if I spelled the name wrong), who is a friend from high school, so I am pretty darn pumped about that! Next transfer is going to be awesome! Not to mention I am going from the biggest biking sector to a sector with a car, blessings in abundance.

I want to share a really cool experience that I had that showed me how the spirit really does direct this work. About two weeks ago, we were planning for a lesson and we felt that we really needed to print off a conference talk for a certain investigator. We kind of just skimmed through some talks to see if one looked interesting, and we came upon a talk called "Has the Day of Miracles Ceased?" by Donald L. Hallstrom from last October. We weren't sure if they wanted to read it in French or Tahitian, so we printed off a copy of both. We ended up giving them the Tahitian copy, and they really liked it.

Well, about a week passes and my great friend Frere Tetuanui shared with us something extremely hard that has happened to him recently. I really wanted to comfort him, but I wasn't sure what to do. Then I had the thought that the french copy of that talk was just sitting in my bag, and I kind of chased him down as he was leaving and gave it to him. He thanked me and went on his way.

Sunday comes around (yesterday) and Frere Tetuanui is giving the closing talk. He just broke down in one of the most powerful and sincere testimonies I have ever heard. He shared that he was in the depths of despair, and then he read through that talk we gave to him and it changed his heart. He was able to accept the will of the Father and the spirit filled his heart with peace and joy. I was extremely touched by the spirit as he shared such a powerful testimony.

Last night I was thinking about all the steps it took to get to that point. What started out as just wanting to share a conference talk with some investigators turned into a huge miracle that blessed the investigators, blessed Frere Tetuanui, blessed me and my companion to see all of this, and I am sure his testimony blessed many others yesterday at church. I cannot deny that God is in the details, and if we will just try to go out and do our best, He will help us do so much more than we could ever do on our own. I am very grateful for that experience and for this Gospel. I love you all and I hope you all have a great week, and I invite you all to try to see how the spirit has guided you this week.
I took some pictures biking along. The road looks like this pretty much everywhere, it is awesome.
Hot!
