Wheat Bix - Sent Dec. 17, 2017

Elders Kimball, Kerr and Taylor

So I want to start with a little story of my new least favorite food. It's called Wheat bix. They don't really have a lot of cereal options here in Tahaa, and my good friend Elder Brown who is on Raiatea said I should look for wheat bix, and that they are the best. A lot of other elder's tried to warn me, but I really trusted Elder Brown. I finally found them this week at the store (the options are super inconsistent), and decided to try them out. I had them Tuesday morning and they were pretty bad. And my stomach felt a little funny for a bit, but then all was fine. Then Wednesday I realized I needed to eat them because I was the one who voted on buying them, and I pounded them. Without going into too much detail, lets just say I took a solid sick day with more than enough symptoms to justify it, my stomach was going crazy. Thanks Wheat bix.

We had a baptism this week and it was awesome. He has been an investigator for about 1.5 years, and finally got baptized! His testimony is huge and and he is already one of our best members. I love seeing people accept the gospel. The joy that was radiating from him was literally unreal. It is moments like these that make the Wheat bix totally worth it!!

Not gonna lie, the sickness really slowed the week down, I can't think of a ton of other things to write about. I guess one sweet thing is that transfer calls came last Friday and I am staying another transfer! Super pumped about that! Elder Taylor is getting transferred to the Marquees, which is crazy! It is gonna be way sad to see him go, I have literally been with him since the start of my mission in the MTC, but he is gonna kill it out there!

Last story. We have an investigator named Heimana who is super into bodybuilding. The last few P-days me and Elder Taylor have gone over to his house and worked out with him. He is super cool and way fun to go work out with. When we were done last time we said we wanted pictures. First he got some with Elder Taylor (Elder Taylor is pretty strong, way stronger than me) and Heimana was doing all sorts of crazy bodybuilding poses with him and it was great. Then I went to get a picture and he seemed suprised that I wanted one too. I guess I wasn't strong enough to justify him doing poses, because as I flexed (in reality I was showing off my farmers tan more than my muscles) he just gave a nice thumbs up. I was dying looking at the pictures afterwards. Good times.

Well, have a Merry Christmas and remember the true meaning of Christmas! Love you all and enjoy the cold, I wish I could! Na na! (Goodbye in Tahitian)
