From Holly -- Braden has not been able to send any pictures the last few weeks because of spotty wifi service. I guess we have to remember that he is on a dot of an island in the middle of the Pacific ocean thousands of miles away from anything else. We are blessed to get an e-mail each week! This week he did not send a large group e-mail, but did answer some questions we sent to him.
Hey family! It is so good to hear from you, as always.
QUESTION -- "WHAT DO YOU DO FOR EXERCISE? HOW DO YOU BLOW OFF STEAM?"
Hey family! It is so good to hear from you, as always.
QUESTION -- "WHAT DO YOU DO FOR EXERCISE? HOW DO YOU BLOW OFF STEAM?"
1. I run almost every morning. I either run with elder Taylor, and when he doesn't want to Elder kimball just bikes next to me. There are a couple brothers in the ward who want to run with me next Saturday. We were gonna do it last Saturday, but it was dumping rain so we didn't. One of them is about 16 and pretry thin, and his bro is 11 and chubby. They crack me up, they are totally the kind of kids who dab all over. The 11 year old said he has been training every night, so that's gonna be embarrassing when he whups me.
QUESTION - "WHAT DO YOU DO ON P-DAYS?"
2. P days are the best! Last p day we went to Raiatea, it was just for fun, not a conference that's why we didn't have a different p day. Today we are just chilling. It feels so good to clean listening to music p day mornings. To blow off stress other days I don't have a ton to do. We chat during lunch and the evenings and have fun, but p days are much appreciated.
QUESTION - "HOW DO YOU WASH YOUR CLOTHES?"
3. We have a washer and dryer in our back yard, so that's nice. The only problem is that there are four of us and the washer literally takes 3.5 hours. So it is almost always running, we change loads almost every morning and night.
QUESTION - "IS THERE ANYTHING YOU CRAVE OR REALLY MISS EATING?"
4. Well we just bought oatmeal and brown sugar, so that rocks. We have made pancakes a few times, but I do miss waffles. We also had lasagna the other night!!! That was actually way good, but the natives thought it was weird. I guess what I really miss is just variety.
So today there is no WiFi at the chapel. There is one member who has WiFi and we are at her house now, on a tablet. So I am not gonna send a big email, or respond to others. I guess it's up to you to break the news. On the bright side I think I was able to send some pictures, not sure though. We will see. This is my second week in a row having to rush emails, so hopefully next week works out better.
FROM HOLLY -- Braden ended his e-mail talking about the love he has for his investigators. He says the work goes on!
