Conference was awesome! / Sent April 8, 2019

Well, not messing around today, wasn't conference incredible!!!! Holy cow I have never felt so spiritually enlightened in all of my life! I was really wondering why this conference was so powerful, and I think I realized what it was. It was how I prepared for it. Our mission President encouraged us to re-read all of the talks from the First Presidency and the 12 Apostles the month leading up to conference, and to write down what we were inspired to do. That was a super inspiring activity that got me pumped for conference.

   Thanks to that, I prayed a lot to be able to really focus on the talks and learn and know what to apply. I was so inspired!! Holy cow, when the Prophet spoke, he spoke with the power and authority that could only come from a Prophet of God. If you haven't heard his talks yet, go listen to them, they were incredible. I have already listened to the one in the priesthood session three times.

  Another cool thing this week is that for some reason, we gave tons of blessings! I don't know why, but every day we ran into people who needed blessings. We drove to some park to turn our car around Wednesday after a lesson got canceled, and we saw these two people, ages about 15 and 20, looking way up into a tree. We looked up and there was some guy way up the huge coco tree cutting down dead leaves. We stopped to go talk to them, turns out it was a family of members! He gave us some coconuts to drink, then he asked for a blessing. We ended up blessing his whole family, 9 people in total. It was awesome to see how the Lord puts us where he needs us and when he needs us.
