Elder Braden Kerr Mission

Hey everyone! I have got a ton to talk about, and not a lot of time, so lets see how this goes.   So first off, I'm getting transferred! And it's going to be pretty crazy. I'm whitewashing, which means that me and the other missionary who are serving there are new to the sector, so that's gonna be a little tricky. And on top of that, I'm going to be in a trio! And on top of that, both of my other companions are brand new! I'm going to be training two new missionaries at the same time in a new sector! Thats going to my fourth and fifth sons. Wow I feel like a train a lot. Anyways, it's gonna be crazy, but so much fun!   With the transfer, that means I'm saying goodbye to Papara. I have been here for 6 months and have made a lot of lifelong friends. But, I am literally getting transferred only two sectors over.   What a great week for Papara!! We had way more success in basically every aspect of the work this week than we have had for a long time. God blesses those who get to work!   So, the highlight was definitely the baptism of Teva. He is a stud. We found him just a few months ago just raking leaves in his yard, and we decided to chat with him, and now he is baptised! His wife passed away about a year ago, so it is just him and his 11 year old daughter at home, and the gospel has already helped him so much. I could literally go on for hours about all the miracles we have seen, but they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I will just send a few of those, that will be a lot more effective.   We also had zone conference this week and that was a party. The way that works here is they do one conference on each side of Tahiti, and another on in the islands. Man it rained a lot this week. Sometimes I miss being on bike, but man was I grateful for the car this week. It was always kind of sad and kind of funny when the other Elders in our house came back soaked every night because they were on bike. For some odd reason the hot water in our house is powered by solar panels. So whenever its blazing hot outside, we have warm water. But when it's windy and rainy and cold we have to take cold showers. Good times.   So, I have to share, I had one of the most spiritually powerful lessons of my whole mission this week. We have an investigator named Teva, who has a baptismal date for this friday. Well last saturday at the lesson he had read some negative stuff from another religion, and he was confused and his testimony was really shaken. I was praying so hard for him, and I have never before felt the spirit guide me like it did in that lesson. I felt like the prophets in the Book of Mormon teaching with power and authority.   Hey everybody! Nothing too special seemed to happen this week, so my plan was to just send a lot of pictures. Well, I just hooked my camera up and turns out I haven't actually taken any pictures this week, sorry. But I've got one funny story for you all!    I have been with a french companion and it has been awesome, he has been helping my improve a lot, and we have especially been working the accent. I felt like I have really been improving, but I guess I fell into the pride cycle, because I had a super humbling moment during a lesson this week. I explained a whole concept, and afterwards the investigator said he didn't understand very much of what I said because he doesn't speak english. He thought I was speaking english!!!!! That is probably the lowest blow I could have been given on my accent. I blame it on the fact that his french wasn't that great either, he prefers Tahitian, but oh well. At least we had a really good laugh over it that night.   ...
